Easy Grilled Cream Cheese Sandwich

Have you ever wanted something warm and sweet for breakfast but thought to yourself that maybe it was too early for dessert? It’s really never too early for dessert but let’s just say you want to keep things on the healthy side. Well, this Easy Grilled Cream Cheese Sandwich is perfect and will keep you full for hours.
I paired this warm and toasty sandwich with some frozen berries that I heated up in a sauce pan. I added a little bit of sweetener to the mix and it ended up being exactly what I needed to satiate my sweet tooth.This great high protein sandwich bread can be found at Walmart that is absolutely delicious.
This recipe is nothing out of this world, it’s quick and easy, and can be thrown together in about ten minutes or less. The best part is that it’s healthy and low in calories. It’s a perfect snack or breakfast and it’s just so pretty to look at that it’s almost hard to bite into.
Spread your cream cheese on one side and the heated up berries on the other and you’re ready to go!

Easy Grilled Cream Cheese Sandwich

Sweet, warm, and crispy all in one bite! This Easy Grilled Cream Cheese Sandwich is perfect for breakfast or as a snack. You can even have it for dessert!

Ingredients

Marketside High Protein Bread, or any bread of your liking

2 ounces of fat free cream cheese

1/3 cup fresh or frozen berries

3 drops Stevia or sweetener of choice

Instructions

1. Heat fruit in saucepan until it becomes a jam like consistency, remove from heat and set aside to cool

2. Add Stevia drops to cream cheese and mix throughly. Cream cheese should be soft and spreadable

3. Spread cream cheese mixture on one slice of bread and fruit mixture on the other and put together like a sandwich

4. On medium heat, grill each side until golden brown.

5. Serve and enjoy!

 

Notes

The fruit mixture can be microwaved as well in 30 second increments until preferred consistency is reached. This can also be done with jam, jelly, preserves, or anything else that pairs well with cream cheese.

Easy Grilled Cream Cheese Sandwich | Adapted Eats
Depending on what I really need to hit macro-wise, this can often be an end of the night treat. If I need less protein I can lessen the amount of cream cheese or use a different type of bread. These can be made on Joseph’s Pita or Lavash for lower carbs and fat or on regular bread if you need some more carbs.
