Here are some great Stay In New Year’s Eve Ideas that will keep everyone entertained while waiting for midnight to strike! I honestly need things like this to keep me awake because once I sit down, I’m likely to doze off! So, I like to have fun activities to play while we are all hanging out. I do this for a few reasons. One, it gets us to interact with one another which is sometimes tricky with phones being such a common distraction. Two, we have a really good time doing it! Three, we often learn a little more about each other while doing this. Four, it’s a great ice breaker if there’s someone new. And Five, it keeps me awake!
Games
With so many games available to play, this should be an easy one to throw together. My all time favorite family game is Taboo! You can easily find this game at Target, Walmart, or online. If you haven’t played this game before, do yourself a favor and line it up for your next game night. My favorite thing about this game is that everyone is involved at almost all times. So, you won’t easily get bored waiting on the other team. We usually split the boys and girls into two separate teams and have a battle of the sexes war!

Decorating Contest
Here’s a tasty idea that everyone will enjoy. A cookie or cupcake decorating activity can turn out pretty funny, especially with some of the final results being a disaster. Which in my house is usually what happens. Simple ideas I can work with but when it comes to trying out these Pinterest beauties, well it’s usually a Pinterest fail! Not to worry though because no matter how they look, they still taste great! Check out these super adorable cupcakes that Kaila over at healtyhelperblog.com has. You can even buy the cupcakes premade and just worry about the decorating. Or if you just love to bake, she’s got the recipe up as well. They can easily be made Vegan and/or Gluten free so that everyone can enjoy!

Create Your Own Pizza!
I really can’t think of anyone who doesn’t like pizza. So, this is a great idea because it kills two birds with one stone. Not only does it entertain everyone for a while but it also ensures everyone is fed and the food is to their liking. Whether you’re team pineapple on your pizza or not, you can create the pizza of your dreams with this one. All you really need are some personal size pizza crusts, sauce, cheese, toppings, and everyone can make their own pizza. Check out some awesome do it yourself pizza party ideas that I found online.

Build a Puzzle
When was the last time you built a puzzle? Now, think about when the last time you built a puzzle with your family was? I don’t think I had ever built a puzzle with my family up until now. I saw this online as an idea for a party and I picked up a puzzle first thing the next morning. What a fantastic idea! You get your brain working, you’re hanging out with your family and friends, and hopefully at the end you’ll have a completed puzzle. Honestly, this was one of the coolest ideas I’d seen in a long time. Simple, inexpensive, interactive, and fun that everyone can join in on. The other neat thing about this idea is that people can come and go as they please and you don’t have to wait on anyone to take their turn. It can be put on the table and worked on throughout the night whenever is convenient for everyone.

Holiday Movies
Last, but certainly not least, we have holiday movies galore to watch! Truth be told, I have been watching holiday movies on the Hallmark Channel since December 1st. It’s basically a holiday movie marathon in my house all December. My only problem is that I can’t seem to finish one because I have a tendency of falling asleep about 30 minutes after I lay down. Ugh, why am I like

Another great game that really doesn’t require much and can be put together just about anywhere is “The Fishbowl Game.” This game, just like Taboo!, keeps everyone involved and can get pretty hysterical. It all really depends on the crowd you’re working with but I’ve got some great memories playing this game.
