The Blogger in Me

The Blogger in Me

This is officially my first blog post and it’s been a long time coming. I never thought I’d be blogging and to be honest, finding the blogger in me has been a little on the scary side. So far this adventure has been a very humbling experience. I wish I could just cook or bake something and everything else would just fall into place. Yeah…not so much. I’ve come to realize that although the internet will tell you that WordPress is fairly easy to learn, it’s really not. There are so many things to learn, WordPress is constantly changing and evolving, and it really can be very tricky to navigate everything that comes with blogging.

The good news is that I did finally find a YouTube tutorial that really helped me out with SEO. If you’re interested or need help then hopefully this tutorial YOAST SEO Tutorial will lead you in the right direction.

OK, back to blogging…you’ve got to figure out how to take good, if not great, pictures. You’ve got to figure out how to post them on your site. You’ve got to organize all the social media avenues and do a ton of work to make that happen. Honestly, the list goes on and on. This post isn’t to deter anyone from blogging but rather to be as transparent as possible about my experience. I’ve sat through countless tutorials, reached out to people for help, and have felt like ripping my hair out at times from the frustration.

Some days are definitely better than others and although it’s been a process, I am getting better at it. It’s been slow but at least there is progress. I’m not going to give up. I really want to master this and my hopes are to help as many people out there as possible. Any input is always appreciated. This site is for anyone who has struggled with food, dieting, working out, being healthy, and anything else that falls under that umbrella. Have questions? Ask away! I will do my best to respond and help out with anything I can. Here’s to my continuing education in the beautiful world of blogging! Cheers!
